How to convert HELOC to fixed rate mortgage and pay no tax penalty when the house is sold?
Hello, To buy new homes took HELOC against my old house, which was planned to sell some to pay HELOC. I could sell my old house, so I'm using now as a rental property. I want to convert HELOC in high fixed rate mortgage. If I can convert HELOC to fixed rate mortgage, when I sell my rental property that money from the sale will be transferred to my company primary mortgage without lump-sum distribution to avoid the tax penalty?
